The Cleanologists have been operating for 13 years and provide over 100,000 hours of cleaning per year. We work with an ethos of open communication and are committed to vital customer service and continuous improvement. We are small enough to care and big enough to cope.

Contracts include all materials, equipment and detergents, full insurance, auto-enrolment costs, paid holidays, holiday and sickness cover, recruitment costs for initial appointments and any staff turnover, as well as all training, contract management, and supervision, audits, and HR costs. Our pricing is based on 56 weeks per year, allowing four weeks of paid annual leave and full cover for each cleaning staff member.

Upon award of a cleaning contract, you will be assigned a dedicated local area manager, and we will immediately prepare to take over all aspects of cleaning management. 

• Meet and greet key stakeholders
• Commence the recruitment, vetting, and selection process of cleaning staff
• Commence any tupe arrangements 
• Develop the Cleaning Schedule and mobilize a staff training program.

We understand that ultimately your experience will be influenced by our staff, so all our team is carefully selected, trained, background checked, and fairly paid. Flexibility and resilience for staff absences and holidays are built into our fees.

Pricing is based on 56 weeks per year, allowing four weeks of paid annual leave and full cover for each cleaning staff member. We also have dedicated Mobile Cleaners to cover long-term sickness and holidays across all contracts. 

All cleaning staff are paid an hourly rate via PAYE, and we also have a Performance and Attendance Bonus structure in place, where 50p per hour is applied to every hour worked to achieve a total attendance and a high standard of work. This remuneration approach keeps staff engaged, reduces absenteeism, and produces high-quality cleaning service.   

Staff members are requested to work overtime to achieve the cleaning tasks required should a team member become absent. The ‘team responsibility’ approach invokes loyalty amongst cleaning staff, as most people do not feel comfortable letting their teammates down. This approach results in a high level of engagement and reduced absenteeism.   

We will work with you to tailor a Cleaning Schedule that outlines your specific requirements. The Cleaning Schedules outline a minimum expectation and a training tool. During training, our cleaning staff are instructed to use their initiative and complete obvious tasks even if they do not appear on the schedule or ahead of time if required.  

All our cleaning contracts have a dedicated Local Area Manager responsible and accountable for adhering to cleaning standards and carrying out regular audits. These regular audits are carried out by the Local Area Manager and include: 

• A review of the Cleaning Schedule
• Inspection of cleaning standards
• A review of consumable requirements
• Health and safety protocol

The health and safety of staff and clients remain our number one priority, and we strictly adhere to the UK Government Safer Working Guidelines and carry out stringent risk assessments on every project. Our cleaners are professionally trained to keep everyone safe during the COVID pandemic, and we will continue to adhere to strict antiviral and sanitising protocols. 

• Our Local Area Manager is an experienced contract cleaning professional. At the start of the agreement, he will be able to fully assess your workplace to identify hazards that could cause harm. We regularly monitor and manage health and safety protocols throughout all cleaning contracts.
